Rikchik's have red tentacles? Are those reserved for a particular class of words? Expressing appreciatation of the esthetic qualities of another's tentacles? Or perhaps they are the equivlent of the hand that is used for unspeakable things and therefore its gestures are dirty words? :)
My guess is that's the rikchik version of the LJ community icon, as in rikchiktalkhome. Although now that I look at it, I have no idea what the human version is supposed to represent.
Exactly - I feel like I saw a larger version of that icon somewhere, but I couldn't find it. Anyway, looks like orange arrows away from a yellow circle to me.
There are generally separate tentacles used for talking vs. everything else - but you could certainly learn to use a nonstandard set of tentacles, for whatever rhetorical reason.
No, this is just a silly use of symbols inside a sentence, like "I &heart; NY" etc. (There's a Rikchik version, saying "I &heart; the Rikchik language" at http://www.suberic.net/~dmm/rikchik/ps/ - it's the "iluvrik" file. Wow, that file's out of date - it still has the old version of the N aspect.)
