What I get:

6 men are in a box; 16 men go to the moon.
What?
[livejournal.com profile] bookishfellow, does it make sense to you?

No, it's 18. Still not all that sensical, though 18 men have been to the moon. Dunno.

I think I may have my agent-patient, source-destination etc. concepts reversed, and my numbers are definitely weak. wouldn't human-R-agent-? and box-T-patient-? mean that the people have a box, not vice versa?

Maybe it's a tour group to the Isle of Skye.

Well, assuming the rock called "part of the sky" = the moon—and that I defer to you on the number system—I have it as:
Six people have a box (boxes). Eighteen people are transported to the moon.

Well--I do know six people who have a box. Are they going to the moon?

I think Have is a "state" morpheme, which works a bit backwards due to something similar to ergativeness. But I'm not sure.

I do! Well, Rachel's currently holding it in her jacket.

Or not, since that's not all that fair.
[livejournal.com profile] rikchik and I are running an RPG mini-campaign, which had its first session on Sunday. The session ended with the 6 player characters (including those of [livejournal.com profile] tahnan, [livejournal.com profile] leighjen, [livejournal.com profile] prog, and [livejournal.com profile] avon) finding a mysterious box, which they took with them.

[livejournal.com profile] rikchik is in another campaign with [livejournal.com profile] jadelennox, [livejournal.com profile] lsl, and [livejournal.com profile] srl, among others. Perhaps they are headed rock-in the-sky-wards.

I did _not_ expect to wake up to 10 comments. -(o- (note: the previous symbol is a rikchik emoticon based on Image.)

Sky-Rock (as a place) was intended as "Mountain". I think there may be a better way to say that (maybe change Rock to Ground?). There are no moons visible from the rikchik planet, so there's no simple word for "moon".

Yes, in the other game there are 18 humans headed into the mountains.

Is it? Crap. How do you say A has B then? (We should add that to the dictionary.)

I'd rather reserve that for low-tech repulsion-powered non-landing ground-to-air missiles. Though that would use the Inanimate aspect instead of the Place aspect, unless you were standing on one.

Boo-yah! Rikchik emoticons! Let's see...

_!_ = angry rikchik

'!' = confused rikchik

-i- = dead rikchik

555 = working rikchik

(8) = a rock (brickbat? snack?)

(i) = looking at you

°i° = thinking rikchik (okay, so it's not ASCII)

(i, = learning something new

oSj = I want it

I meant to type 6o`, but maybe /oo\ or o^o is better. Getting away from ASCII again, you could do óò.
