The Sunday Times is delivered in two parts. The "jumbo" section is the sections that can be printed in advance -- the Magazine, Book Review, Arts and Leisure, Travel, etc. This lets them spread out the press time and delivery load. The newsy sections (news, business, sports, Week in Review) get printed Saturday night/Sunday morning and delivered like any other daily paper.
It's often the store's responsibility to store the jumbo sections and integrate them on Sunday morning.
When I grew up in NYC, we were able to get the jumbo section delivered on Saturday instead of Sunday, which is nice. Up here, I believe they'll do it north of the Charles but the company that does home delivery in Newton refuses. :-(
