Suggests a powerboat or sumsuch

[identity profile] rikchik.livejournal.com 2010-03-24 02:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Turns out to be lower-tech than that.

Is it a bicycle? If so, what is C?

[identity profile] rikchik.livejournal.com 2010-03-24 02:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Apparently nobody knows the term "crank".

[identity profile] kinkyturtle.livejournal.com 2010-03-24 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I know the term, I'd just never associated it with bikes before. "Crank" normally suggests turning by hand, not by footpedal. And there is a chain there, so I thought I'd got it.

[identity profile] bookishfellow.livejournal.com 2010-03-23 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
That was gonna be my guess too. C would likely be chain, but I'm not sure what the I and II stand for.

First wheel, second wheel.

[identity profile] rikchik.livejournal.com 2010-03-24 02:20 pm (UTC)(link)
KT got it - F and R for Front and Rear would have been more standard but F had to be Fork.

[identity profile] chanaleh.livejournal.com 2010-03-23 02:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, it looks considerably more like a bicycle if you slant your head 45 degrees to the left. :-)

[identity profile] rikchik.livejournal.com 2010-03-24 02:20 pm (UTC)(link)
and even more at 60 degrees!

[identity profile] rikchik.livejournal.com 2010-03-24 02:19 pm (UTC)(link)
So you got it within half an hour of me posting? I guess I should have translated all the text to Hebrew to slow you down.

That would have slowed me down some, yes.

Looks like a cabalistic system. :)

[identity profile] rikchik.livejournal.com 2010-03-24 02:21 pm (UTC)(link)
That was the idea and in fact the inspiration. (If you want to build a pseudo-cabalistic magical system out of it, feel free :) )

LASSIE! YOU CAME BACK!!!

[identity profile] rikchik.livejournal.com 2010-03-24 02:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Good dog!

My first guess was person riding a unicycle.

[identity profile] rikchik.livejournal.com 2010-03-24 02:22 pm (UTC)(link)
That almost works too - turn with the torso, push with the knees...

(basic and independent) Robotic Layout Schematic?

[identity profile] rikchik.livejournal.com 2010-03-24 02:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Not in this case. Though you could probably build one on this plan. (Are robots common objects for you?)

[identity profile] rymrytr.livejournal.com 2010-03-30 01:36 am (UTC)(link)

No, I just tried to connect the words as concepts rather than a diagram. :o)

As for what I know, Life is like a Buffet for me... so little time that I sample everything I can, be it physical, as in building clocks (I made 7), intellectual or "beyond possibilities"...

Answer!

Inspired by a coworker sketching a bike and me thinking all the components were laid out very regularly.

So why is the front wheel "knowledge"?

Re: Answer!

[identity profile] rikchik.livejournal.com 2010-03-24 05:13 pm (UTC)(link)
You get a lot of road texture from the front wheel - if a bike had nerves, that's where they'd be. (It's a little bit of a stretch, admittedly.)
